Snow hit sunny Del Sur this season—man-made snow, that is! On Jan. 28, more than 750 residents gathered for Del Sur Snow Day, an annual event at the San Diego master-planned community.

Residents enjoyed snow sledding, snowball and snow angel making, a craft station and toasty treats from Devilicious Food Truck. Snow Day was a bustling and sunny affair this year. While kids and parents sled down Haaland Glen Park’s snowy hillside, onlookers splashed around in the park’s heated pool. That’s San Diego for ya.

Del Sur currently has six neighborhood parks offering distinct amenities such as a lap pool, playground, labyrinth enjoyed by Yoga-goers, and more. Throughout the year, the community hosts events at the parks, from Snow Day to a summer concert series.
