Local Resident Girls Working Hard for the Homeless
Megan Drew and Taylor Murch, sophomores at Del Norte High School and Girl Scouts in Troop 8678, are working on their Girl Scout Silver Award. Their project, Back The Pack, supports homeless education by filling backpacks with new school supplies and donating them to a third grade class at Monarch School in San Diego. They would love to have your support as they collect: new backpacks, blunt scissors, 16 pkg crayons, 8 pkg markers, erasers, glue sticks, pencils, pencil cases, socks, underwear, and wide rule one subject notebooks.

Del Sur Educational Foundation Golf Tournament

The Del Sur Educational Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to raising additional funds for Del Sur Elementary School, will host “Fore The Kids Golf Scramble” September 24 from 1 to 7 pm at The Vineyard in Escondido.
“As parents and community members, we’re thrilled to support Del Sur Elementary School,” said Tom McCartin, event chair. “This is our first annual golf tournament, and I’m really excited to see it come to life.
