The 2014 Del Mar National Horse Show starts tomorrow, April 17th and will be running at the Del Mar Fairgrounds through Sunday May 4th.  If you have never been, this is a great event to check out with your friends and family.  It is the oldest and most prestigious equestrian competitions in the Western United States.

 

Each year the Del Mar National Horse Show attracts more than 1,500 horses representing many breeds across three distinct disciplines. Spectators will see reining, spins, sliding stops, elegant dressage moves choreographed to music, daredevil show jumping, trick riders, comedy acts, thrills and spills, among many other exciting events. The competition for prize money, trophies, and ribbons is fierce!
