We are happy to announce Whole Foods' grand opening in the Flower Hill Promenade off of Via de la Valle last week! They opened by giving the first 300 customers in the store free bread. They also featured professional Sumo champion Byamba, to highlight Sumo tangerines that are delicious and in season right now along with other citrus and strawberries. Today they are also donating 5% of their proceeds to Del Mar Schools Education Foundation.

Whole Foods is very generous with sampling products. So far, their croissant filled with chocolate and raspberry ganache is amazing! Their Sea Foam Greens at the juice bar is healthy and satisfying. The turkey, bacon, and avocado sandwich is super popular, especially on a pretzel roll. There is a sushi bar, which also serves a Health Starts Here roll, which is great. You can never go wrong with freshly baked pizza, breads, and pastries. There are many prepared vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options. And last but not least, the Trifecta Tavern! You get to sample beer and wine and enjoy bar food made fresh from the Whole Foods kitchen.
